The Vessel Project
The Vessel Project is for those who love Christian books.
What’s the purpose of The Vessel Project? The answer goes back many years to my childhood. I was saved at a young age but not raised in Church. I’ve always been an avid reader but at that time, the Christian book market was very small. If there were more Christian books available, I might have grown more in my faith. That’s why you will find so many free resources available on The Vessel Project.
Why limit the reviews on The Vessel Project to only Christian books? Because Christian books carry the message a dying world needs to hear. A Christian book is one that has a prevailing Christian theme. That theme can be reduced down to some form of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether it’s fiction or non-fiction, there is at least one (often many more) ideas that offer redeeming value. I liken this to the story told in the four gospels. All four gospels tell the gospel message but they are told via four different points of view to differing audiences. It’s the same message just flavored from the surrendered heart of the writer.
Here are some key features of The Vessel Project.
Interviews
In the post categorized as Five Things readers get a glimpse into some of the finest Christian authors. These articles ask Christian authors to provide five previously unknown things about themselves. My hope in presenting these articles is that readers will have a bit more information about these authors when selecting their next great Christian read.
The Kindred
Over at The Vessel Project, you will also find Christian book reviews written by a wide variety of published and/or emerging authors. These published authors and emerging authors are affectionately called The Kindred. We are writers who write fiction and non-fiction books but are also avid readers. The large number of ‘Kindred’ members allows for just about every Christian book genre available.
In the category Kindred Questions readers get a glimpse of the writers of the all the great book reviews you read on The Vessel Project. many of The Kindred are published authors, others are on their way. These questions help readers understand the book reviews better because a brief testimony of the writer is included.
New Releases
The Vessel Project features New Releases in Christian books throughout the week. Articles on New Releases feature a book description, an author description, purchase options, book trailer (if available) and other resources as well.
Free Resources
The Vessel Project has a growing reputation for providing Free Resources made available by the publisher for a limited time period. The publishers are gracious enough to provide these free resources and I am more than happy to offer them on this site. If you are subscribed to The Vessel Project, I can tell you that you will not want to for reading material.
